Almondingas

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 pound of ground pork
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped celery
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped onions
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder or 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon of pepper
  • 3 cups of water
  • 1 bundle of vermicelli or misua (sold in Oriental food store)

Beat egg. Add the pork, celery, onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Shape into 1-inch balls. Bring 3 cups of water into a boil and add pork balls. Add vermicelli or misua and simmer for another 5 minutes. Serve hot.

 

Makes approximately 4 servings.
